WELCOME TO THE CREDO INFOLIT TUTORIALS

Information Literacy -- also called Info Lit or IL -- is the ability to recognize a need for information and to find, analyze, and use related material from books, articles, websites and more.

Research has shown that students who receive information literacy instruction in college are more likely to stay in school, more likely to have higher first year GPA's, and more likely to finish school faster (by successfully completing more units per year).

Pierce librarians are information literacy experts and can help with the various steps involved in doing research.

The Library also subscribes to a database, Credo InfoLit, that includes tutorials, videos, and other resources about information literacy.

Credo InfoLit resources can help you with tasks like:

  • Getting Started with Research

  • Searching for Information

  • Evaluating Information

  • Presenting and Organizing Information

  • Citing sources correctly

  • Using artificial intelligence (AI) ethically

  • Using Critical Thinking and Logic

Use the menu on the left to find videos, tutorials and other resources from Credo InfoLit.
